Shaw Jennings, the seductive, enigmatic owner of Body Electric Tattoo works hard and plays even harder. He’s built a life he’s proud of, and though that doesn’t include a significant other, he’s got plenty of sexy men to keep his bed warm at night. None of them have ever made Shaw sit up and take notice for long, though. But that all changes when a famous rock star walks through his door. Trent Knox had the world in the palm of his hand as the lead singer of TBD, one of the biggest rock bands in history…until the day he walked away. A getaway to South Haven Island seems like the perfect place for Trent to find himself again and reignite his passion for music. But what he never expects is to find his muse in a six-five, tatted-up badass whose sinful smile he can’t get out of his mind. The only problem? Trent’s a notorious womanizer, and Shaw isn’t interested in being someone’s experiment—muse or otherwise. But in a town as small as this one, Shaw is finding it more and more difficult to keep the persistent rocker at arm’s length. As the tension between them builds, maybe it’s time to finally give in and get carried away with something a little bit like...desire. The novels in the South Haven Series are m/m romance standalones that focus on different couples. While each can be read out of order, reading A Little Bit Like Love (Book 1) first is recommended for maximum reading pleasure.

Their sexual tension almost drove me absolutely insane, but in the best way. Their story was electric with the heat, the romance, the gripping tension between them. There wasn't a ton of angst or drama thrown in which I found really wonderful. Because instead of having a lot of drama pulling them apart we got to see the sizzling chemistry that was pushing them together instead. Which had me going mad! I was legit screaming at my Kindle for them to just get it on already. All I can say is that Shaw has a lot more strength than I would if I had Trent. I loved it though. That crazy feeling it gave me when I was reading and hoping with all my strength that they would get together already. That tension was my favorite part of the story and the reason I know I will be re-reading this many times in the future. Overall, if you're a fan of MM this is the book you need to be reading. Brooke Blaine knows how to do some hot man on man loving so if you're not reading her yet you're missing out. ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review.

Brooke Blaine is one of those authors who remind me why I love MM romance. If you have read A Little Bit Like Love you will definitely feel the difference: While that one was on the angstier side A Little Bit Like Desire is completely drama-free - and I'm not complaining. Shaw's and Trent's story is lovely and sexy. Both of them are pretty easy-going and laid-back. They communicate, especially Shaw has a gift to grasp the essence of a problem and offer a quick solution or knows what to say to comfort or give advice. His thoughtfulness is one of my favorite things about him. Shaw doesn't even realize his appeal and that makes him even more attractive. Also, the whole slacks, vest and tattoos getup? Sexay! For being a rockstar, Trent is very balanced and even-tempered, yet he has this allure and charismatic pull that draws me to characters like him. He didn't have any major freak-outs, was sweet and cheeky sometimes, smoldering hot and sexy at other times and very, very lovable. Even more so because he didn't capitalize on his rockstar status or his good looks. Many times he felt like the cute boy next door. “Wow,” “Oh,” he said. “That was a good ‘wow.’” “A very good wow.” “Thank you,” he said. “You look seriously fucking ‘wow’ yourself.” What this story has in spades is sexual tension. It builds deliciously slowly between Trent and Shaw and I read this book holding my breath, waiting for them to finally, FINALLY get on with it...only to get the equivalent of blue balls for the umpteenth time. I sang a quick Hallelujah when they finally made it to the home run. TEASER COURTESY OF THE AUTHOR I loved seeing Lucas and Jackson again but the one person who never fails to capture my affection is Bash. That guy has a heart of gold and his mischievous personality is so freaking adorable I want to hug him whenever he's in a scene. Ahhh! I can't wait for his story! I was sold on this story when I heard that Shaw would be matched with a rockstar, which coincidentally is one of my favorite sub-genres. Brooke Blaine made the best out of it. A Little Bit Like Desire is a fast-paced, quick read and has a very pleasant flow and Brooke's trademark cheeky and naughty humor. If you have never read MM Romance before but want to pop this particular cherry, I can't recommend this series enough. It has everything - emotional depth, excellent story-telling and characters you can't help but fall in love with. I’d fallen in love with Trent slowly and without warning, so completely that I felt like I couldn’t breathe when we were apart. Maybe that was why I’d shied away from falling for someone for so long. Because I knew that once my heart attached itself to another, there would be no way of tearing them apart.

***4 - 4.5 Stars*** Mmm. That Trent fucking Knox was a little bit like desire personified. And even better - he was mine, all mine. What should have remained an anonymous hookup starting out in a dark room, turns for two men into a desire none of them needed, much less wanted. Shaw Jennings, tattoo-artist and owner of his own shop, is as adventurous as they come when it comes to sexual encounters. On one condition, though. Casual, no-strings-attached and one-time only. So what is it about ***4 - 4.5 Stars*** Mmm. So what is it about this guy his best friend Bash set it him up with at one of his famous parties, that he can't get him out of his head, ending up in daydreaming fantasies and without opposition to a second helping? His world gets even more rattled when suddenly a famous rock star shows up in his little shop to get a tattoo and he can't help shaking this feeling of familiarity... Trent Knox, former leadsinger of a famous rock band, is at a turning point in his life. Feeling wrung-out and empty, he got stranded in South Haven in order to find his self again and what's more be himself. No more hiding in the closet and definitely more of living out his fantasies. So an anonymous hookup seems to be just the way to go... If it weren't for the small and insignificant fact that this hookup turned out to be hotter than expected. But it was anonymous, remember? So, not a chance in hell for a repeat. So what is it about the man in the tattoo shop who suddenly not only sparks an attraction in him, but also ignites a long-lost inspiration to write songs again? Who was this guy who dressed like David Beckham, was built like the Rock, and quoted fucking Maya Angelou, anyway? And why couldn't I seem to get him off my mind? Fate seems to be determined to make them cross paths - with a healthy dose of help from their friend Bash - and both men realize that a little bit like desire might help them find something they didn't know they needed.... Oooh, this was just what the doctor ordered!!! No one is more surprised than I how much I enjoyed this story! Granted, I loved every single book I've read by this author so far, but usually my angstometer can't be jacked up high enough and this was so not angsty at all. Even if room for potential dramalama was there, I very much enjoyed how the author dealt with it and made this a light and sexy read for a cold and rainy day. The sexual tension was sizzling and although the steam has been kept within limits and it was more of a great deal of teasing on the part of the author, I found myself squirming in my seat more often than not, doing the fanning thingy. What I loved the most, though, was the interaction between Shaw and Trent and also their friends. I enjoyed every single 'lightbulb'-moment about their identities and their banter made my grin almost reach my ears. Yeah, it's safe to say that I had lots of fun with this book. With a dramatic sigh, he said, "Honey, please don't let this go straight to your ego, but listen to me when I tell you there's not a queer man on God's green and glorious earth that would turn down a night with you, much less an actual relationship, if given a chance. You're a unicorn, darling. And that's how I know." I sat there, dumbfounded and wondering what medication he was high on. Oh, how could I forget Bash? I just love the guy's attitude and I wonder who really is the unicorn here, but I'm sure there is more to him than meets the eye and I can't wait to sneak a peek under his facade. ***Ladies, this BR was once again pure delight! Christelle and Anne, thanks for reading this with me, although I have to apologize to you, Anne, for skipping out on you, but we got a bit carried away on the second day and this book was simply too good to be put down. Karen and Josy, thank you for stopping by and I can't wait to have you back at our side again in the next buddy read. ❤️

The rock star and the tattoo artist trope gets the Brooke Blaine treatment in this delightful second instalment in the South Haven series. I absolutely loved this one, no angst, no drama, just a great romance with two people who connected with each other on an emotionally satisfying level and who had chemistry enough to burn the pages. Their initial encounter opens the book and be prepared for the temperature to hit boiling point, man the scene is scorching hot. But it's way more than just physical. They connect on a friendship level too and everything is just an easy extension of that into a relationship. Lots of humour and appearances from the rest of the gang all made this a thoroughly deserved five star read. #ARC kindly provided by the author in return for an honest and unbiased review.

I was waiting for a conflict of some kind, but it never came. This book works as a standalone. I'm so ready for Bash's story!

Looking for a light, fun and sexy MM contemporary romance, with no conflict nor dramalala, just two nice and easy-going guys meeting, spending time together and realizing they want more and naturally going for it ? Shaw’s life is good : he owns a tattoo shop with success, has a band of good friends, and enough hooks-up to be satisfied. He doesn’t do relationships, not because of any issue : just never happened. When he meets Trent, he can’t help but feeling a strong pull and is willing to see where it can go. Trent’s life is a little bit less smooth : he's at a point of his musical career where what was great a few years ago is no more satisfying and is looking for changes. Spending time with Shaw seems to be quite the direction to the light. What I enjoyed the most ? The first chapters…whoa, buckled up very fast 😊 And then, the innuendos and banter and the deliciously teasing sexual tension and chemistry instilled by the author. I couldn’t help begging for the tease to stop while being entertained by it. Brooke Blaine stated she had fun writing about Shaw and Trent : well, I saw that and it worked well with me. Note : Another great BR with Simone and also with Anne, although I got carried away (I blame the time difference : easier on my conscience !!)

3.5 stars. I enjoy Brook Blaine's books a lot and it pains me to say this but this is probably my least favorite from her. And that just sucks because Shaw's book was one of my most anticipated books. The reason is that I had a hard time connecting to the characters. And I was hoping that we saw more of a development as a couple between Shaw and Trent. Otherwise the chemistry was hot and of course, I loved all the characters. And I really would love a book for Bash. "I've never done this bef 3.5 stars. I enjoy Brook Blaine's books a lot and it pains me to say this but this is probably my least favorite from her. We remember tattoo artist Shaw from the first book. He's best friends with the Lucas and Bash. And he's a happily single serial dater. He never really had a boyfriend. And he's also kind of a rock star hiding on the island while finding out what to do with his life after leaving his band. Both Shaw and Trent first think the other guy is straight. But once they realize the truth it's not all insta happy endish. But we'll get there! WHAT WiLL HAPPEN WiTH SHAW & TRENT??? WiLL THERE BE A HAPPILY EVER AFTER??? READ THE BOOK TO FiND OUT! ☺ ═══════════════════════ LOOOVED IT!! You start reading and BAM! You're right in the middle of a very kinky and sexy and mysterious one-night stand kind of thing. Grrrrr! And after that night it only gets better. We have all those funny and adorable and frustrating and sexy moments. Shaw and Trent don't know that they're attracted to each other. Bash has to throw them together every chance he gets. Adorable! But once all the gay truths are out in the open .... Let the fun times begin. I adored this book! It's so very erotic and sweet and sad and fun. I loved every word of it!!!! Now I NEED to see what Bash will have to tell us in the 3rd book: A little bit like Heaven - coming soon! GIMMMMMEEEEEE! He's gonna have such an amazing story - I can't wait to see who he'll get to fall for. Oh ... a tiny little thing I didn't love-love. Shaw's hair. Uhm.... wasn't the frosted tips look an early nineties never-to-be-done-again thing?? I just can't imagine a hot guy having that kind of hair today. Ew! ☺ And I also kind of wanted a bit more family. Trent says how amazing his parents are, but we don't meet them. And Shaw's mom. I wanted a bit more - maybe even have his real dad appear. Something a tiny little bit more family momentish. BUT ... it was totally amazing the way it was! A LITTLE BIT LIKE DESIRE was such an adorable & sexy tattooey-rock star romance! Hurry to your nearest amazon for your own #Shox!!! These two are MINE! ☺ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

lacking everything i loved about the first book and by that i mean the angst. to me the ingredients for a successful romance are buckets of angst, a rocky history, maybe some enemies to lovers action. and this had nooooone of that. it was more fuck-in-a-dark-room and find out later that it's a hot guy from a band you love, sort of story. not quite insta love, but definitely low on the angst. i mean there was nothing keeping the two of them apart either it was... lackluster. and then to top all of t lacking everything i loved about the first book and by that i mean the angst. to me the ingredients for a successful romance are buckets of angst, a rocky history, maybe some enemies to lovers action. and this had nooooone of that. it was more fuck-in-a-dark-room and find out later that it's a hot guy from a band you love, sort of story. not quite insta love, but definitely low on the angst. i mean there was nothing keeping the two of them apart either it was... lackluster. and then to top all of that MEH off, the ending was nearly identical to the other book in this series. a convenient wrap up with a sprinkle of "who cares about my dreams if i have you." nothing to write home about. really interested in the third book because the main character is interesting but not sure if i'll give it a read. yawn.

4.5 ⭐ Rounded up because usually I don't like books with mcs in the showbitz, but this one worked really well for me. I liked the plot, the steamy scenes, the characters and their relationship development (they talk a lot! There's more talk than steam and it works just fine). I also loved that there were the characters from the previous book 😊 Can't wait to read Bash's story! 😍

This is definitely one of those "read it in one sitting" book. You'll devour it too, I just know you will. I truly loved both main guys. I adored Shaw's big bear ways. He's so big and protective and tough and tattooed but that man has such a tender, loving heart. I love how much he cares for his friends and his brother (and of course Trent, duh). I need me a Shaw, damn it!!! I just want to climb him like a tree and snuggle close (and I'm really not a touchy-touchy person so that should tell you how much I love that man). As for Trent. GAH! Literally "Gah" isn't even a word but it's truly all I can muster when I think about that man. Gah!!!! Trent was so sexy and edgy and mmmmmmmm just real delicious, ya feel me. From his leather pants to his raunchy rock songs and totally indecent performances, hot DAMN! *waves panties like a white flag* I canna take no more ⚰🤤💦 Together, Shaw and Trent were serious fiya (🔥). There was so much sexual tension between the two it was amazing. All in all, I clearly enjoyed the heck out of this book. The plot, the characters, the setting, the friendships, the sexy times, all of it!!! If I wasn't so worried for the survival of my ovaries, I'd definitely be screaming "ME NEEDS MORE" right about now.   I honestly love this South Haven series so much. I wasn't too, too sure I wanted to read Bash's book at first (which is the next book in this series) but by the end of ALBLD I was convinced. I love this group of friends too much to pass it up. I might actually reread A Little Bit Like Love now because the few times we saw Jackson and Lucas in this one made me miss them so darn much 😭🖤

I absolutely loved this! I couldn't put it down last night until like 3AM, it was so good. I loved Trent and Shaw's chemistry so much, from their first meeting in that dark room. They perhaps fell a little too quickly, but their connection was so great and intense that I didn't mind. I thought the fact that they were just strangers and didn't know what the other looked like in their "dark room" encounter and when Shaw finds out, that it would be this whole source of drama, but thankfully this bo I absolutely loved this! I thought the fact that they were just strangers and didn't know what the other looked like in their "dark room" encounter and when Shaw finds out, that it would be this whole source of drama, but thankfully this book didn't fall into that manufactured pit fall. In fact this book was pretty light on the angst because honestly aside from worried from Shaw and some doubts for a little bit, there was no miscommunication or major drama when there didn't need to be. It was so refreshing just reading these two falling in love and being able to figure out any potential problems - with some help from Lucas, the MC from the first book. With the way big record companies are portrayed in books - and movies and tv shows - It makes me wonder how big celebrity singers put up with it...well, i guess some might just like the fame and the money, but they seem to like to control their singers and bands, and that doesn't sound fun. I'm sure there are some big record companies that aren't bad...but I don't doubt that a lot of the big ones don't allow a lot of creative (and personal sometimes, if a person isn't straight) freedom. This was fun and entertaining to read and I loved Trent and Shaw, individually and together. They just had that instant connection from the minute they touched each other in that dark room, not know who it was but still feeling something more with each other. So much that they couldn't get the "dark room guy" out of their heads. Loved this. And I can't wait for whoever the next book will be about - maybe Bash, who is a sweet, funny, interesting character. (view spoiler)[Also at the end I noticed how he wasn't there when Trent had his concert with the others and I wonder why that is...hmm. (hide spoiler)] Definitely recommend for those who enjoyed the first in this series. I dare say this one was even better than the first, I think. Two thumbs up from me :D

Some things were too cliche (i.e., the band members nicknames, their style of dress) and I have to admit it bothered me enough to point out. Also, there was more telling than showing. The relationship development felt off. Overall, I enjoyed it though, just wasn't a slamdunk. -Rockstar and tattoo artist -Romantic -Low angst -Good chemistry -Alternating POVs -Feel good vibe. 3.5 Stars 3.5 Stars

With Blaine’s sensual prose, she created a romance that was intense, erotic, passionate and absolutely beautiful. I will say this again and again, Brooke Blaine is a great writer but she takes it up several notches when she delivers a sizzling and passionate M/M romance. So if you are looking for a romance that is all about letting go and going after what you want then this is the book for you. Brooke Blaine

4.5 stars Rock star romances are my crack so getting a steamy, sexy gay romance with both a rock star hero and a tattoo artist hero had my head spinning around and Brooke Blaine did not disappoint. I LOVED the way these two experienced each other for the first time, the way they are so completely comfortable together from the start, the way they both kind of dive in head first and can’t believe how the other one makes them feel, and the easy way they make it work. If you are looking for tons of angst, drama, and a book ripping your emotions apart, this is not the book for you; A Little Bit Like Desire is fun and fresh but also smart and sexy and I loved every minute of it. Months after he walked away from his lead singer gig with TBD, a highly successful rock band, Trent Knox is in South Haven trying to write some music and figure out what happens next in his life. What he doesn’t expect is to feel something so deeply for Shaw Jennings, the tattoo artist he has hired for his next ink or the fact that they’ve met before. Sometimes you read a book and it simply takes you away to a happy place and makes you forget everything going on around you and that is exactly what happened with this book. I was immersed in this world, with these people, and it was a very happy place to be. I hated watching Trent struggle and know that he was questioning everything that had gone down and his own talent, but I loved that Shaw was there to lift him up and make him believe in himself once again. While Shaw did have a few moments of self doubt, he was a rock and definitely helped Trent see there was life after TBD. I loved how Shaw’s friends jumped in to make Trent feel welcome and how Trent was finally able to show the world his true self. My one complaint is that the characters weren’t fully developed; we didn’t see much in the way of what shaped them into the men they’ve become, but because I loved the story of their relationship so much I was able to put that aside for the most part. For me there is nothing better than two people finding love when they least expect it and author Brooke Blaine delivered that big time in A Little Bit Like Desire.

One hot, mysterious, secret, sensual encounter. One lost, struggling, charismatic rock star. One big, burly, tatted, sexy, sharp-dressed man. Serious sexual tension. Earth shattering kisses. Trent Knox has ended up in South Haven for a break. He left his band. He is trying to find inspiration and purpose. And he had no clue that he would find it in the most unlikely of circumstances. Shaw Jennings owns a tattoo shop and he is a playboy that keeps men at arm's length. He's always just been about a good time and nothing more. But when their two lives collide, it is more than either of them expected. There is sexual tension, confusion, and misconceptions. Friendship. Desire. Lust. Teasing. Kisses. And they just can't seem to get enough. These guys were scorching hot together! They seriously had chemistry, but neither were perfect candidates for a relationship. Trent was just on vacation and has to deal with social media scrutiny and trying to figure out what he wants to do with his new life. And yeah he is a famous freakin' rock star! And Shaw has never really found anyone interesting enough to actually let in and get in deeper with. It was totally unexpected, and neither are quite sure where it is going. But what happens when real life encroaches and decisions need to be made? This is one brings the sexual tension, steam, and humor, but it is also about hope, trust, faith, inspiration. They both needed to believe in themselves to have a chance at anything more...if they are brave enough to even try. I really loved both Shaw and Trent's personalities and their dynamic together. This also brings back Lucas and Jackson from A Little Bit Like Love and the other side characters including the vibrant and outgoing, Bash, Shaw's twin brother, Kevin, and his employee, Kyan. Bring on more of the South Haven guys! Bash! Bash! Bash! I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. Trent Knox has left his band and is out in the middle of nowhere to get inspired for his solo career. But it's been six months and he is nowhere close to writing or composing anything. But, lo and behold, Trent Knox finds his muse in Shaw Jennings. That was one of my favorite start for a book. The love story wasn't insta-love. Shaw and Trent start forming a great friendship. Shaw treats Trent like any normal guy and it is such a breath of fresh air for Trent. They have so many great little moments together that brings real intimacy at the fore-front. I truly enjoy reading about these little things that makes a relationship special. This book had a ton of such scenes. The story was: - told in a Dual POV - Very little angst - Sarcasm humor - Rockstar and Tattoo artist romance - All the fluff and Unicorn WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM A GAY ROMANCE...??? GO CHECK IT OUT..!!

4.5 stars from me. Have been waiting for this one since A Little Bit Like Love came out, and I have to say I enjoyed it more than Lucas and Jackson's story to be honest. Plenty of sexual tension, a slow burning romance, and 2 MC's who hit every button I may happen to have 😉. Amazed I read it so quickly, but that's what happens when you get really invested in the characters 😍. Cannot wait for Bash's story A Little Bit Like Heaven which is next in the series, and at the risk of repeating myself, I 4.5 stars from me. I kind of really loved this one! This was almost perfection for me, almost. I loved how easy it read. I loved that there was no drama and it really just read as a meet and fall in love kind of story. Sometimes that is all you really need right? Right. The only thing holding me back from that full on 5★ rating is I needed just a bit more something. Not drama, no way, I liked that there was none. Maybe a bit more romance? I don't know exactly how to describe it. I just needed a bit more when it came I kind of really loved this one! This was almost perfection for me, almost. I loved how easy it read. Anyone have a spare fan? A/C unit? Bucket of ice? A cold glass of water? Anything? Dear lord, I need something to cool down after finishing A Little Bit Like Desire. No, really. You will too! Their immediate connection—oh, and immense sexual tension—sets this romance aflame and I loved every freaking minute. I adored their openness and vulnerability. That they were so damn real with each other. That there wasn’t something dumb that got in the way of them and their future. They had a true, adult relationship. A sexy AF one. One that had me looking some rockstars on YouTube. For research, you know. *fans self* I loved catching up with Jackson and Lucas and, of course, the catalyst, Bash. Bash, the enigma. And whose story is next. I. Cannot. Wait. ~ Missy, 5 stars *** I was promised that A Little Bit Like Desire started off with a bang, and -- hoo boy -- did it ever! *fans self* The chemistry between Shaw and Trent lit up this story immediately, and kept sparking and flaring throughout the entire book. And, what can I say? I could not put it down. I mean, can you blame me? The inked badass tattoo artist meets rootless famous rock star - combined with Ms. Blaine's engaging, heartfelt writing - there was no way this was going to be anything less than a completely compelling read. And, of course, it was. I was sucked in immediately - first by the undeniable sexual chemistry between Trent and Shaw, and then by the slow, careful emotional development of their storyline. It was a perfect balance of dead sexy and seductively sweet and it effortlessly stole my heart. I loved the role of secondary characters here, and the glimpses of bromance that added a fun extra layer of depth to this story. I appreciated that this story is pretty low on angst, which allowed my heart to enjoy the ride and really attach itself to these fantastically easy-to-love men. A Little Bit Like Desire is a quick, easy read that sizzles with sexiness and is jam packed with the exact sort of sweet emotion I need to leave my heart full and sated. Another South Haven hit! ~ Shelly, 4.5 Stars

This is simply deliciously sweet romance between tattoo artist Shaw Jennings and rockstar Trent Knox. Shaw is the tattoo shop owner and friends of previous heroes Lucas and Jackson. He ended up at South Haven and rented a house from Bash, who is also one of Shaw's buddies. The secretive first encounter between Shaw and Trent was mysterious and titillating. I like that when they finally figure it out, it was all smooth and natural without having the dramatic reveal. The relationship between Shaw and Trent is just so sexy and hot without angst or drama. Shaw admire Trent very much as he himself is a big fan of the band, but he didn't went all fanboy. Trent is bisexual but is not public knowledge. Now that he find himself attracted to the sexy tattoo artist, he might need to do come to terms with coming out publicly. I thought i will have to endure seeing Trent being in the closet and trying to figure out his feelings, so I'm glad that it isn't such a big issue to Trent. In fact, it was Shaw who is the one who wanted to protect Trent's image and worry about him. I'm just in awed of Shaw's protectiveness towards his lover. Shaw also very supportive of Trent's career. He's definitely a keeper. One of the things that I really enjoyed in this book is all the dialogues and playful banter between all the characters, not just between Shaw and Trent. I can listened to Bash, Jackson and Lucas talked all day long. I definitely looking forward to our very own diva Bash's story. I wonder what kind of man will finally capture his heart.

First it was Lucas and Jackson in A Little Bit Like Love, and now it is Shaw and Trent in a Little Bit Like Desire. Everything from the romance to the friendship among these quys is sweet as can be with a little bit of sexy behind the doors. Readers are going to love Shaw. He is the perfect friend, the level headed voice of reason. There isn't really anything about his character that readers will not adore. His counterpart, Trent, is a bit more lost, floundering in the new sudden path he has found himself on. Although he is incredibly different from Shaw, readers will fall in love with his level of innocence and his passion for music. The chemistry between these two, like all Brooke Blaine couples, is off the charts, and she doesn't make you wait for the good stuff. This novel starts off with a bang and the sexual tension between these two is HOT. The story progresses pretty quickly, but the relationship between the two is natural and fun. Readers get time with the guys, the romance between Shaw and Trent, and the development from lust to love. I do wish there would have been a bit more conflict, more trial and tribulations for the two, but I still found myself loving these two and the home they create. Brooke Blaine has a created another MM couple I adore. She has a way of making me fall in love with the romance (I'm not going to lie, though, the time between the sheets doesn't hurt) of it all. My heart becomes wrapped up in these men and their love. It is a bit like coming home each time. ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

This book works fairly well as a standalone, but there are scenes with Lucas and Jackson and I appreciated knowing all the connections and the full story. The book immediately jumps into some heated action, but then eases off and lets the chemistry and attraction smolder between these guys. Blaine does that well as both men are incredibly attracted to each other, but haven’t figured out where they stand with each other as neither thinks the other is interested in men. Shaw doesn’t hide who he is, it’s just that Trent doesn’t know him well, and Trent was encouraged by his record label to keep his bisexuality under wraps. But the attraction sparks along between them throughout the entire book. Read Michelle's review in its entirety here.
